Lovely imperfect Helios 50/1.7

Pick up this lovely Helios 50mm f1.7 some time back, and took it for a few shots today on the Nikon ZF. It was not a perfect lens, far from it, nevertheless, it is one of those that you fall in love with on its characteristics and the renderings. Helios is one of those that makes photography more for a creative art form, than the mechanical perfections of the modern mirrorless that delivers sharp, crisp and modern pictures that flooded instagram. Just like the Ms from the Leica, manual lens forces you to slow down, consider the composition, the story behind the picture, and many others that gave the form of art in photography, this is one of those magical vintage lens. Helios among others like the Jupiter lens, is hard to find, and harder to understand the multiple versions and variants of it.

Paired it with a monochromatic shot, is perfect, from an imperfect beautiful vintage lens.

Not exactly a creamy bokeh, but it is rendered extremely good. A throwback to the many reasons why Helios has a cult following from photographers everywhere.
